profile intermedia 6: VOYEUR

we took the topic of the international designer's conference profile intermedia 6 (“voyeur – behind the scenes”) literally and incorporated it into our vj-performance. on the first day of the conference we “ambushed” people with our dv-cams, following them covertly, and shot a lot of “voyeuristic” material. When the gates of messe centrum bremen closed we captured and edited the material during the night, applying aesthetic filters that fitted the look and feel of profile 6. the resulting clips were then used exclusively at the profile's annual party, which took place at the second day of the fair - thus creating a unique visual experience for the attending people which became voyeurs themselves...

“Frischer Wind” at Speicher XI

the university of fine arts (hfk bremen) moved their premises from downtown to a more industrial area near the harbor in bremen. we prepared exclusive material for the opening party and developed a special setup for the installation matching the characteristics and peculiarity of the room into the visual design.
The video material incorporated the speicher XI building (including the reconstruction work, machines, and architecture) and the harbor environment (including factories and magazines, ships, trucks, water), as well as the “fresh breeze” atmosphere of a building in its virginity.
the live re:sorb VJ remixing session of this material supported the party all night with a fantastic light spectacle.
